Coming home lately has not been very pleasant. I am not one to let clutter build up around the house, but lately I have been so busy, it has totally slipped my mind. So, I am dedicating this weekend to nothing but cleaning and organizing our house.
My husband, Santino, is a bit of a pack rat. He recently changed jobs and decided to bring the entire contents of his old desk home, to my kitchen counter, where it has rested for the past week. I cannot tell you how many times it has all fallen off the counter. It actually fell off again about an hour ago, I am refusing to pick it up, again.
We need to go through our closet in the guest room and through the many piles of junk that have collected around the house. My favorite is the one of left over wedding supplies. I think all of this stuff is going on freecycle first thing Saturday morning.
I think the reason it gets so bad is that we don’t have a system. I really need to think something up. What systems do you have in place to keep clutter and paperwork from piling up? What would you recommend?
